Special Events Venue Rentals

The mill is the centerpiece of the Hagood Mill Historic Site & Folklife Center, which also includes two historic cabins, a blacksmith shop, a moonshine still, and a cotton gin. The site also includes the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site, which preserves significant Native American rock carvings, and the 64-foot (20 m) steel Prater’s Creek Bridge, built by the Greenville Steel and Foundry Company in 1930 and brought to the site in 2007.


With several options for renting, the mill is the perfect setting for your special event or wedding. Contact us at hagoodmillfoundation.org or 864-898-2936 to inquire about availability. 



Site will be available to rent all days of the week at all times except for 3rd Saturdays of the month.  However, for bookings outside of regular business hours (9 am - 4 pm—Tues-Sat) please add an additional $10/hour to cover a Hagood Mill staff member to be on-site.  Rentals must be for no less than 3 hours. *In-Season is April-October. Off-Season is November-March. 

Price includes

Venue will be cleaned, grass cut, bathrooms are located on Millside site (additional bathrooms/portapotties must be rented by lessee), parking is available on site, free on-site photos may be made.  A Hagood Mill host will be available during the rental time.  Site and bathrooms must be left as they looked when client arrived.  Trash needs to be taken off by client. Deposit will be forfeited if site has not been cleaned before inspected by Hagood Mill staff. Hourly rate includes set up/clean up time. Cabins have no heat, power or water. 25% off for non-profits (need legal documents and TIN)

Security Deposit

One hour fee (above)—To be paid before facility is occupied. Deposit must be made before site is reserved for lessee, and deposits
are non-refundable.

Site Approval

Site should be inspected and approved by lessee before reserving to rent.
